First year teacher documentary

Recommended viewing

I highly recommend that future teachers watch this first year teacher documentary by Kansas State College of Education. Nothing will help ease your new teacher fears better than seeing that others have those same fears.

Teachers who have come before you have had fears and struggles and they have survived and thrived. You will have fears and struggles, but if you are dedicated and you work hard, you will succeed in one of the most rewarding careers out there.

In addition to being forthright about the fears and struggles that first year teachers contend with, it also shows the rewards. You might need a tissue or two.

So curl up on the couch, or prop up your computer on your treadmill (like I did) to watch this documentary. It is worth your very precious time.
